Flash collision and audio visualizer
Grant Skinner is one of the top Flash developers out there and pretty much anything he spends time on is worth having a good look at. Normally, when I see a bouncing ball Flash animation I roll my eyes, but of course, I knew this would be different, and I was right. Keep in mind that this is simply a physics and maths experiment all wrapped up in Flash with a brilliant soundtrack from the Prodigy. A lot can be learned through tinkering like this.
All animations are produced through code in real-time through the custom interactive physics engine and audio visualizer. When the white circle loads, click on the white ball, then click anywhere on the screen to create red balls which will interact with each other. Oh yea, and the whole thing is 5kb – not including the soundtrack.

The birth of the experiment is broken down in steps in his blog post so you can see how he came up with the idea. I think he will also release the source code at some point so stay tuned.
