The Royal Society Releases 60 Articles
Trailblazing is an online, interactive timeline launched to commemorate the Royal Society’s 350th anniversary in 2010. As part of their celebration, the Royal Society has decided to release 60 of their scientific journal articles for your reading pleasure. There are many fascinating articles but I decided to highlight some that fall more inline with my immediate interests:
Isaac Newton’s theory on light and colours (1672)
Bayes and Price’s Essay on chance (1763)
Thomas Young’s Colour vision and the wave theory of light (1802)
Fisher’s The mathematical foundations of theoretical statistics (1922)
