Visuwords (Online Graphical Dictionary)
This is a cool Flash dictonary based on Princeton University’s opensource WordNet. The developers describe it as a type of neural net, but I look at it as more of a word map where you can see words that are related to your original ‘seed’ word. The use of color, line thickness and distance, and patterns adds to the relationship information. For example, you can see synonyms, antonyms, words that ‘pertain to’, or words that ‘are a member of’ to name a few.
I was trying to build something like this using Schvaneveldt’s pathfinder networks from Interlink and latent semantic analysis (LSA) techniques, but I am definitely going to be exploring this tool in the days to come.

You’re right, it’s difficult finding who is actually in charge with the program. The best I have is the logical octopus guys at: contact [at] logicaloctopus [dot] com
I think the project is a collaboration and so many people are involved, including uni students. The whois lookups for the domain names didn’t help either.
