Mechanical Turk Master Workers
Amazon recently released a new category of Worker on the Mechanical Turk. These workers are called Masters, and they are elite, established workers who have demonstrated accuracy and efficiency in the work they produce.Currently, there are two categories that a Worker can be a master in, Photo Moderation and Categorization. I imagine that more categories will emerge as Amazon continues to develop this service. Selecting to use a Master instead of a regular Worker will cost you an additional 20% on top of the reward amount you set. The Experiments with the Mechanical Turk tutorial has been updated with screenshots and a brief description of this new feature.
